1. (+1) Miss A – Bad Girl Good Girl *** 1 WEEK NO. 1 ***
Genre: Pop / Dance

Album: Miss A first single “Bad But Good” Track 1
Comment: Not even Wonder Girls’ debut song hit the top of the chart, but JYP’s latest girl group Miss A wins it convincingly this week with their debut song “Bad Girl Good Girl”, scoring almost 100 points higher than the second place song. Miss A, which consists of members, Fei, Jia, Suzy, and Min, has finally debuted with their first album, “Bad But Good”. The girls were training for three years plus under JYP and have already been part of shows and commercials (Samsung Anycall). The title track “Bad Girl Good Girl” is a medium tempo number that has European melodies incorporated with strong American hip-hop rhythms. The girls are to show powerful stage performances with this song. Congratulations to Miss A.
2. (+7) Narsha – 삐리빠빠 (Bbi Ri Bba Bba)

Album: Narsha 1st mini-album Track 2
Comment: Brown Eyed Girl’s Narsha who had sung solo songs on drama OSTs before is coming out with her first solo mini album, “Narsha”. The producer of the Brown Eyed Girls’ third album (“Abracadabra” & “Sign”), Cho Young Chul took responsibility for the production of this album, upgrading it a notch. The title track is “Bbi Ri Bba Bba”, which is also an electronica number with house beats. It is a very unique song. This week it moves up another seven spots to No. 2, looking to challenge Miss A for the top spot next week.
3. (+1) Tae Yang (feat. G Dragon) – I Need A Girl

Comment: Steadily moving up another spot is two time Tae Yang’s “I Need A Girl”. Tae Yang who received much love through his mini album, “Hot” has returned after two years with his first full length album, “Solar.” This album holds special meaning for the singer himself as it celebrates the ten year dream he had since his days as a trainee. The title track is “I Need a Girl” which was composed by rookie producer Jun Koon. Tae Yang’s mellow vocals flow well with the easy melody line and special rap featuring by fellow Big Bang member, G-Dragon. This song is already a two time winner at Inky Gayo.
4. (+8) Son Dam Bi – Queen

Album: Som Dam Bi 3rd mini-album Track 2
Comment: Having established herself as one of the top female solo singers in Korea now, Son Dam Bi has returned after a year and four months of preparation with her third mini album, “The Queen.” The singer shows a 180 degree transformation in contrast to her past retro style bokgo dance songs. The title track is “Queen” which incorporates electronica and rock to bring about a new style of pop dance music. The bouncy rhythms along with its addictive chorus and rap will catch listeners’ attention right away. This week “Queen” is in the top five, up eight spots to No. 4.
5. (-4) MC Mong (feat. Mellow) – 죽을 만큼 아파서 (Hurt To The Extent Of Death)
Comment: After spending last week on top of the chart, MC Mong’s “Hurt To The Extent Of Death”, the title song from the 2nd project album of the Blue Brand series, “Trauma Part 2”, dropped back to No. 5 this week. This song has the trademark MC Mong hip-hop style ballad with a listener friendly melody. Female singer Mellow lends her sweet vocal which includes many English lyrics, reminding us of Mong’s old hit “A Letter Written To You Part 2”.
6. (+1) Super Junior – 너 같은 사람 또 없어 (No Other)
Genre: Pop / Dance
Music: Reefa, Ryan Jhun, C-2 Produc / Lyrics: Kenzie
Album: Super Junior Vol. 4 Repackaged Version Track 2
Comment: Super Junior, who has topped various charts the past month with their hit song, “Bonamana,” returns with a repackaged fourth album. The new album consists of four new tracks, including follow up title track “No Other”. It has hip-hop sounds from the south with trendy beats and a synth riff. This pop dance number was composed by Reefa, C-2, and Ryan Jhun, and penned by renowned Kenzie. The song depicts yet another side of Super Junior. This week “No Other” moves up another spot to No. 6.
7. (-4) Baek Ji Young – 시간이 지나면 (When Time Passes)
Genre: Pop Ballad
Music + Lyrics: Jun Hae Sung
Album: Baek Ji Young Best Hits Album “Timeless; The Best” Track 1
Comment: Baek Ji Young’s “When Time Passes” dropped four spots to No. 7 this week. This song is coming from Baek Ji Young’s best hits album “Timeless; The Best”. “When Time Passes” a ballad that brings “beauty” back to the music scene. It lyrics tell a story about a person resenting how slowly time passes by during the time she longs for an ex-lover. Just like MC Mong’s song, this song is ranked very high despite no promotion by the singer yet.
8. (–) Sistar – Push Push

Album: Sistar first single Track 2
Comment: We saw a large of influx of prominent new girl groups last year and we have got another one. They are the four-member group Sistar! Formed by Bo Ra, Hyo Lin, Da Som, and So You, they underwent over two years of vocal and dance training. Even before their debut, the group was paired with Jang Geun Suk for a major Samsung Yepp ad campaign and the Magic Drag CM song. Sistar’s debut song “Push Push” is doing well on the chart. This week it remained at No. 8. Produced by Brave Brothers, “Push Push” is a funky dance song that the girls match with funky retro looks. (credits to ~S2~)
9. (-4) Kan Mi Youn (feat. MBLAQ Mir) – 미쳐 가 (Go Crazy)

Comment: Kan Mi Youn, who has debuted fourteen years ago as the lead vocalist of Baby VOX has returned with a digital single, “Go Crazy” after spending two years doing activities in China. It’s been three years since her last digital single album in 2007 and in order for this comeback; she has spent lots of time working on new music, dance and style. Many people have known Kan as a ballad singer, but through “Go Crazy,” a dance number with lively rhythms and guitar sounds, fans will see her otherwise. The song was composed by hitmaker, Bang Shi Hyuk and features special rap featuring by MBLAQ’s Mir. This week “Go Crazy” moves back four spots to No. 9.
10. (+4) 4Minute – I Me Me Mine

Album: 4minute 2nd mini-album “Hit Your Heart” Track 4
Comment: After their top 3 hit “HUH”, 4minute is back with their follow up song “I Me Me Mine” and again it hits the top 10, moving up four spots to No. 10. This is another song that displays 4minute’s fierce image on stage despite their young age. It is destined to be another big hit for the group.
11. (-5) IU (feat. 2AM Seul Ong) – 잔소리 (Nagging)

Album: IU digital single “Nagging” Track 1
Comment: IU dropped five spots this week with “Nagging”. IU, who had debuted at a young age of 16 with ballad number, “Missing Child” showcasing her strong vocal at such a young age, returned with a new single. The title track is “Nagging” which was co-composed by Lee Min Soo who was responsible for Brown Eyed Girls’ “Abracadabra” and G.Gorilla of bands, Eve and Sprinkler. Seul Ong of 2AM is featured in this song, garnering interests among fans.
12. (+7) One Two – Very Good

Comment: Quietly making hits after hits is two-member dance group One Two. They are coming back with their fourth digital single album, “Very Good”, just in time for the summer. It is of the dance hall genre and is once again composed by the famous Brave Brothers, making it the third track in which the group collaborated with the producer. The song incorporates brass and synth sounds, perfect for the season. This week it moves up seven spots to No. 12.
13. (+21) G.na (feat. Yong Jun Hyung of BEAST) – 꺼져 줄게 잘 살아 (I’ll Back Off So Live Well) *** BIGGEST MOVER OF THE WEEK ***

Comment: Perhaps the most anticipated female solo new singer this year, G.NA makes her debut this summer with mini album, “Draw G’s First Breath”. G.NA (Korean name: Choi Gina) has worked with famous composer Kim Do Hoon, who composed the title track “I’ll Back Off So Live Well”, yet she alone produced the entire album. Wheesung is responsible for penning the lyrics to this track. This mid-tempo track has an unforgettable melody line that is as shocking as the title of the song. BEAST member, Yong Jun Hyung, helps out with the rap featuring in the song as well. It is our biggest mover this week, up 21 spots to No. 13.
14. (-1) Supreme Team – 땡땡땡 (Ding Dong)

Comment: This is the title track of Supreme Team’s 2nd mini album, ‘Spin Off [Repackage].’ It’s a hip hop song with very impressive brass sounds in the first half part. You will be reminded of the passion and explosive energy of hooligans at a soccer game or of the audience at a bullfight. Comment: After a nasty split with 2PM, Park Jae Bum is finally singing again and has released an EP. “Nothin’ On You” is a remake of B.o.B’s hit single, with supplementary melody arrangements by producer, Park Geun Tae. An English and remix version of the song are also included. Fans all over the world are already anticipating this hot single!
16. (-6) CNBlue – Love

Comment: CNBlue’s “Love” falls to No. 16 this week after spending six weeks at No. 1. Being the top rookie group in 2010, CNBlue had hyped up the music scene with their single “Loner” (ranked No. 2 on our half year top 10) earlier this year, and has returned with their second mini album. Their songs are upgraded alternative rock based ballads with a hint of rap, showcasing their full potential as a band.

Comment: This is the title track of T.O.P’s first digital single album. It’s a hip-hop song that marks T.O.P’s debut as a solo artist, and contains witty lyrics and rap laid on top of deep bass and beat. Comment: Many people probably remember Hwanhee for his previous Fashion 70’s OST single, “Even If My Heart Hurts”. It’s already been five years since that release, and Hwanhee returns with “I’ll Hurt More” for the drama series, “Road Number One”. This emotional ballad number was composed by Shin In Soo and penned by the artist himself, and is about a loved one who has left and the hurtful memories that follow after. This week it debuts at No. 18.

Comment: 2AM’s Jo Kwon, who has received much love through MBC’s show “We Got Married,” has revealed to fans a digital single titled “Day of Confession”. This mid-tempo number, which incorporates drums with synthesizer sounds, will have listeners bob their heads to the beat. Jo Kwon has helped create the song himself with rookie composer Shim Eun Ji. This week it drops three spots to No. 19.

Comment: This is the follow up hit to Lee Seung Hwan’ 10th album titled “Dreamizer”. This album is goes astray from the popular music of today, bringing forth an album with no regrets. The title track is “Half of Half”, earlier ranked in our top 20. This latest hit “Perfect Harmony”, a rock style ballad. It seems that listeners like this song more as it has strong airplay scores to go along with album sales.
