American Producer Steven Lee who worked with REBIRTH (famous for global gold disks) is back for another run and this album is quite universal with a combination of American, European and and Korean sounds. This album can be recognized and differentiated from other groups for less electronic sounds but more piano, lived based to express SS501’s sincere emotions. The title song LOVE YA is produced by Steven Lee and rings out with the harmony of the orchestra and piano. This allows SS501’s powerful but sincerity to be expressed.

The group has had much success since their debut with hits including, “Tell Me,” “So Hot,” and “Nobody” and have even debuted in the United States while performing as the opening act for the Jonas Brothers Tour last year. Their new album includes three versions of the title track, “2 Different Tears” as well as the English versions of their past hit songs. K-Pop’s Plague of Plagiarism

Well, this issue is getting more serious in Korea now. What’s wrong with the Korean Music Industry??? The title of this post is taken from article written by Cherry-Go-Gyaru which originally posted in soompi’s homepage. Here’s the complete article

K-Pop’s Plague of Plagiarism
by Cherry-Go-Gyaru
With Lee Hyori potentially facing multiple plagiarism charges, the questionable practice of plagiarism itself re-emerges. This is not the first time plagiarism and K-pop have found themselves together in the same sentence. Perhaps due to sharp-eyed netizens detecting the plagiarism so quickly, it would seem that kpop is losing credibility to its fans and other industry representatives. Kpop Weekly Chart : March Week 2

Hey hey hey..!

Long time no see..!  I had a work trip to NAD province for 4 days, so I miss my blog^^. Finally I can post my favorite part of this blog : K pop chart! Well, KARA in the 1st position. WOW! and amazingly, CN Blue still on 3rd position.

Okay, here’s the complete chart  (credit : soompi) :

1. (+5) Kara – 루팡 (Lupin) *** 1 WEEK NO. 1 ***
Score: 967
Genre: Pop / Dance

Music: Han Jae Ho, Kim Seung Soo / Lyrics: Song Soo Yoon
Album: Kara mini-album Vol. 3 Track 2
Comment: Kara takes the No. 1 spot with “Lupin” on only its 2nd week on the chart. After surprisingly winning the top female group on our last year’s Soompi Gayo Award, Kara continues their strong showing on our chart. The title song “Lupin” is from their recently released 3rd mini-album of the same name. Kara vowed to return to a more fierce image on this mini-album, a concept that did not fare too well when they used it on their debut album. But that was then and this is now. Kara has developed a large and loyal fan base now and fans are more receptive of their change in concept this time.

(Can’t Send You Even If I Die)
Score: 926
Genre: Pop Ballad

Music + Lyrics: Bang Shi Hyuk
Album: 2AM mini-album “Can’t Send You Even If I Die” Track 2
Comment: Title song of 2AM’s third mini album. The 4 sweet voices of 2AM meet ballad hit maker, song writer Bang Shi-hyuk in this song that grabbed much attention. The lyrics are about a man who can’t let his lover go, accompanied by a dynamic dance rhythm and beautiful melody. (credits to Arirang TV – Pops In Seoul)

3. (–) CNBlue – 외톨이야 (Loner)
Score: 814
Genre: Rock

Music: Kim Do Hoon, Lee Sang Ho / Lyrics: Han Sung Ho, Amen
Album: CNBlue 1st mini-album “Bluetory” Track 1
Comment: This is the title track of CNBlue’s first mini-album “Bluetory.” CNBlue debuted as an indie band in Japan and has honed its skills ever since. This song has a magnificent beat and addictive melody, which make it sound very sophisticated. (credits to Arirang TV – Pops In Seoul) Continue reading “Kpop Weekly Chart : March Week 2”

Kpop Weekly Chart : March Week 1

Haloooo…~

Here’s the Kpop weekly chart for March Week 1. As usual, this chart is taken from soompi

(Can’t Send You Even If I Die) *** 1 WEEK NO. 1 ***
Score: 939
Genre: Pop Ballad

Music + Lyrics: Bang Shi Hyuk
Album: 2AM mini-album “Can’t Send You Even If I Die” Track 2
Comment: After spending the last three weeks at No. 2, 2AM finally unseated SNSD and scored their first No. 1 song on our chart with “Can’t Send You Even If I Die”, a song produced by hitmaker “Hitman” Bang Shi Hyuk. Through their new mini-album, 2AM will be able to show hybrid genres with trendy sounds and danceable beats, a 200% upgrade from their last. To fit the global trends in music, electronica sounds can also be heard. We are able to see that 2AM are also capable of dance numbers. The title track which is the same as the mini-album title, is still the vintage power ballad we are known of 2AM. Congratulations!

2. (-1) SNSD – Oh!
Score: 911
Genre: Pop / Dance

Music: Kenzie / Lyrics: Kim Jung Bae, Kim Young Hoo
Album: SNSD Vol. 2 Track 1
Comment: SNSD’s “Oh!” dropped one spot to No. 2 after spending two weeks at the top. After a very successful 2009 seeing them become one of k-pop’s premier girl groups, SNSD is back with their 2nd full length album “Oh!”. The title track which is the same as the album title is composed by Kenzie. It is of the electronic pop genre and is about confessing to a crush in a cute and honest way.

3. (–) CNBlue – 외톨이야 (Loner)
Score: 867
Genre: Rock

Music: Kim Do Hoon, Lee Sang Ho / Lyrics: Han Sung Ho, Amen
Album: CNBlue 1st mini-album “Bluetory” Track 1

My Current Playlist

Hai hai..

Lagunya enaaaak banget didenger walopun liriknya sedih. Suara penyanyinya yang dalem (hampir mirip ma Park Hyo Shin) bikin ga bosen dengerinnya. Yups, sampe sekarang masih jadi penghuni setia playlist saya.
  2. Love Sick – Gilmi ft. Bobby Kim. Hmm..
  3. 외톨이야 – CN Blue. Mana ada lagu judulnya “I’m A Loner” tapi pake beat cepat.
  4. 씨야 (Seeya)- 그놈 목소리 (His Voice). Saya pertama kali denger lagunya Seeya itu waktu nonton drama East of Eden.
This song is one of my fav song from Park Hyo Shin. Continue reading “My Current Playlist”
